LET HOPE ARISE
In Exodus 14-16, we see the Israelite’s delivered from slavery and brought through the Red Sea, and then they are grumbling about not having food to eat.
Every time I read this part, I want to tell them “Don’t you remember what God just did for you? He parted the Red Sea so you can walk THROUGH it - to dry ground. Don’t you think you the God who can do that is also capable of giving you food to eat?"
And yet how many times have you felt like the Israelite’s, where God came through for you and answered your prayers... and all was good until you found yourself shaken, facing another trial - forgetting what God has done for you.
I want to encourage you today - Whenever you get discouraged and are on the verge of losing hope - God tells us to go back and "remember" the testimonies of His faithfulness.
In Joshua 4:1-7 - the Bible talks about building a memorial. Here is a glimpse of what it is written “We will use these stones to build a memorial. In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Israel forever.””Joshua 4:6-7
Sweet girl, HOPE RETURNS WHEN WE REMEMBER!
Let us set memorials over our testimonies of His unfailing goodness, mercy and love. Remembering, He is always with us.
Let hope arise!!!
